I couldn’t stay up for Peck Almond’s Kalimba Project. I really wanted to, and I hope to catch it another time. I didn’t get a nap, and I barely made it through Brad Sheppick’s set at The Stone. It was very good. Just a regular jazz guitar trio, but very good. I’m not sure if I ever saw him before. I think I was kind of drained though and had the music been more up, like Calvin Weston’s the night before, I probably could have stayed. It was very nice and a good opener for an evening.
